Key Stage 4

Meaning

A waterfall is a place where the course of a river is interrupted by a steep drop.

About Waterfalls

Waterfalls are caused by a river flowing over an area of hard rock to an area of softer rocks. The hard rock is more difficult to erode than the soft rock causing a difference in the height of the river bed.
