Meaning

Fleming's left hand rule is a method to show the direction of the force applied to a current carrying wire in a magnetic field.

About Fleming's Left Hand Rule

In Fleming's left hand rule the index finger, middle finger and thumb are held at right angles to each other.
In Fleming's left hand rule the direction of the magnetic field is represented by the index finger, the direction of the current is represented by the middle finger and the direction of the force is represented by the thumb.
