About Cultivation
Most of the fruit and vegetables we eat today don't look like they did 10,000 years ago. They have been 'cultivated. Humans have bred them by always planting the seeds from the biggest and the sweetest plants. Over thousands of years this means the new plants have got bigger and sweeter with every new generation. Sometimes plants are cultivated because the look pretty. Many gardens have plants that we can't eat, but people like the look of them so they plant and grow them careful.
