Meaning
A fish is an animal with a backbone, gills and wet scales.
About Fish
- Most fish lay soft eggs.
- Starfish and Jellyfish are not actually fish because they don't have a backbone, gills or scales.

Note For Teachers
Be careful not to say that fish breath underwater. Breathing means to inhale and exhale air. Fish get oxygen from the water through their gills, but they don't breath because they do not have lungs.
