The backbone (spine) of a human.
A vertebrate is an animal with a backbone.
About Vertebrates
- A vertebrate animal has a spine running down its back.
- Vertebrate animals usually also have a ribcage.
- There are 5 groups of vertebrates:
- Amphibian
- Bird
- Fish
- Mammal
- Reptile
