Progesterone is a hormone that cause the build up of the uterine lining during the menstrual cycle.

About Progesterone

Progesterone is secreted by the ovaries.
The target organ for progesterone is the uterus.
Progesterone causes the lining of the uterus to become thicker and to keep its thickness.
Progesterone inhibits the the secretion of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinising hormone.
