Meaning
A fuse is an electrical component which prevents very large currents in a circuit.
About Fuses
- Fuses are a thin piece of wire which is designed to melt when the current through the wire is too large.
- Fuses are found inside plugs and are used to reduce the risk caused by a power surge.
- The fuse in a plug is connected to the live wire.
This diagram of a plug shows the location of the fuse. |
